Program Overview
The Sport Management program prepares you for exciting careers in one of the world's most dynamic sports industries. You will learn the business fundamentals of professional sports organizations, events, and facilities while developing specialized expertise in sports marketing, sponsorship management, and operations.
The curriculum combines sport management theory with practical application in the Saudi context. You will study event management, facility operations, marketing and sponsorship, media rights, and organizational leadership. Through case studies and projects, you will work with real sports organizations and major international events.
Saudi Arabia is investing billions of dollars in sports infrastructure and hosting major international events including the FIFA World Cup 2034, Formula 1 races, and professional boxing. The University of New Haven's sport management program was ranked number one globally by the World Academy of Sport. Graduates will be positioned to lead this transformation in the Kingdom.
What You Will Study
Sport event management
Learn to plan, organize, and manage major sports events from concept to execution. Study logistics, risk management, and stakeholder coordination for events of all scales.
Sponsorship and partnership management
Master the business of sports sponsorships. Learn to identify opportunities, negotiate deals, activate partnerships, and measure sponsorship value and impact.
Media rights and broadcasting
Understand the economics of sports media rights, broadcasting agreements, and digital distribution. Learn how rights generate revenue for sports organizations.
Venue and facility management
Learn to operate, maintain, and manage sports facilities. Study scheduling, safety, financial management, and customer experience in venue operations.
Sport marketing
Develop marketing strategies specific to sports properties, athletes, and fans. Learn fan engagement, brand building, and digital marketing in sports contexts.
Sport finance and economics
